A little tobacco shop in the Hudson Valley is still selling winning lottery tickets on a regular basis.
Smokes 4 Less on North Plank Road sold two seven-figure lottery tickets over the period of three days last week.
Store manager Nicole Maltz stated, "We sold a $3 million ticket for the Mega (Millions) on Tuesday and we sold one on Friday for $1 million."
Over a three-day period in November, the store sold two Powerball lottery tickets that won the second prize.
Maltz claimed that she lacked an explanation for why the store keeps producing winning tickets.
“I have no idea,” Maltz said. “It’s part of the game, I guess.”
Smokes 4 Less isn't receiving a share of the lotto prizes despite its growing status as a lottery hotspot.
In addition, the store sold a $730,026 second-place ticket for a drawing in October.
