Teen mom Callie Rogers was too young to manage her money wisely.
When Callie Rogers won £1.9 million (roughly $3 million) in the UK lottery in 2003, she was only 16 years old. According to Gawker, she was too young to understand how to manage her money or where it would take her.
Despite momentarily promising to keep her riches carefully after breaking her commitment, Rogers made rapid work of it. She reportedly spent millions on clothes, trips, automobiles, breast implants, and other items, according to British tabloids. Over $300,000 was spent on cocaine by The Sun.
She also claimed to have spent over $200,000 on a house and a guesthouse for her mother.
Rogers finally gave birth to three children and has publicly claimed that she is instilling financial responsibility in them.
She told The Sun that she was happy that her kids would understand the importance of money.
Since I was so young, I should have won the lottery. Fortunately, I’m more resilient than ever because it almost crushed my heart.
